Industrial Gas Leak Management

With the name of industrial technical gases we want to define that wide range of gases that are used in different processes and industrial sectors. The main gases employed are: nitrogen, oxygen, argon, hydrogen and carbon dioxide.

Normally they can be stored in special tanks or in liquid state in tanks dedicated as occurs, for example, with the nitrogen. In industrial plants such gases are subsequently distributed with an appropriate distribution network.

Refrigerant gas instead are used as fluids for refrigeration cycles, in installations for the air-conditioning and refrigeration systems in general. Currently they are also used for applications of generation of electric power in cycles ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle).

For both types of gas it is important to control losses in the distribution system (connections between pipes, valves and connections) as a loss on these lines can be generated, as well as an economic investment, even a security/ pollution problem(risk of explosion, fire, toxic results, asphyxiation or environmental pollution).
